TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Xi’an: Melting pot of cultures and religions, ancient city that used to be home to emperors, courtesans, poets, monks, merchants, and warriors.

Day 1: ARRIVAL XI’AN
Upon your arrival to Xi’an airport or Xi’an railway station (please advise your arrival details in advance in order to arrange the pick-up), you will be met by an English speaking guide who accompanies you to your transfer to the city. The one hour private transfer will take you directly to your hotel in Xi’an. If you feel tired after the journey, you can relax and make use of all available services at the hotel. But if you are anxious to explore this awesome city, stroll down its charming streets and indulge into its unique vibe.

Day 2: XI’AN
After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up at about 8:30 at hotel´s lobby for our full-day Xi’an sightseeing tour. First, we´ll drive to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Praised as the eighth wonder of the world, this collection of terracotta warriors, horses, chariots and weapons unearthed at the site of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor provides a fascinating insight into ancient China. Around 2,000 warriors have been excavated since their chance discover in 1974, but it is estimated that there may be up to an impressive 8,000 in total. This silent army is a fascinating highlight to any tour. After the lunch at the local restaurant (incl.), we´ll drive back to Xi’an to visit Xi’an ancient city wall, the fortification of Xi’an, represent one of the oldest, largest and best preserved Chinese city walls. You will be back at the hotel in the late afternoon at approx. 18:00 and the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: XI’AN
Wake up to your breakfast at the hotel and enjoy the full day at leisure at this delightful city. Enjoy the ancient atmosphere of this age-old city and explore the unique history of all Chinese dynasties. Alternatively, you can book one of our optional tours:
Optional Tour A: Xi’an Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Mosque and Muslim quarter excursion
This tour is the perfect way how to learn about the gems of Xi’an´s history! Starting at 8:30 we´ll drive about 2 km southwest from Xi’an´s ancient city wall, to visit Xi’an Museum and Small Wild Goose Pagoda with Jiangu Temple. Lunch is provided at the local restaurant and is followed by the experience at the Grand Mosque and Muslim quarter, a bustling section of the city where the majority of Xi’an’s Muslim population live and work. There are several mosques here and several lively market streets. Wander around the market and soak up the bright colourful atmosphere. Take the opportunity to sample a variety of local foods and snacks from the market sellers. Our tour ends at approx. 18:00.
Optional Tour B: Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Muslim quarter half-day excursion
Pick-up time: 9:00 am
Take our tour and visit a sacred place, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This well-preserved ancient Buddhist pagoda was built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty and it is one of the oldest surviving structures of its kind in China. Afterward we´ll drive to the Muslim quarter, a bustling section of the city where the majority of Xi’an’s Muslim population live and work. There are several mosques here and several lively market streets. Wander around the market and soak up the bright colourful atmosphere. Take the opportunity to sample a variety of local foods and snacks from the market sellers. Our tour ends at approx. 13:00.
Optional Tour C: Farmer’s Painting in Hu County full-day excursion
Take our Farmer’s Painting in Hu County tour and unveil the 2000 year history of the Chinese folk-art. Discover the themes of the paintings that depict mostly figures, animals and flowers, sketching the beautiful rural scenery of the county and feel the connection with the traditional still vivid folk activities. Enjoy lunch at the local farmer´s house and admire the scenic beauty of Hu County. Tour ends at approx.18:00.

Day 4: DEPARTURE XI’AN
After breakfast at the hotel, check-out from the hotel and at the agreed time you will be picked up by the guide at the hotel reception and together with the driver they will take you to the Xi’an airport or Xi’an railway station to go to your onwards destinations.
Comfortable and light clothing is best suited to travel in the warm months and warm clothing in the colder months in China. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or sparse clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sunglasses and a hat can be very useful during your stay.
