Authentic Portugal Self-Drive Tour Summer

Day 1: Lisbon

Arrival at Lisbon International Airport. Vehicle delivery (pick-up and drop-off fees apply depending on your arrival time and location). Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel in Lisbon.

Day 2: Lisbon

You will receive a 24-hour transport pass so you can get around on public transport. Belem district Baixa Included: 1-hour tuk-tuk tour: discover the Chiado, Bairro Alto and Alfama districts (with French-speaking driver-guide). Overnight stay in Lisbon.

Day 3: Lisbonne / Estoril / Cascais / Cap Da Roca / Sintra / Fatima Region

Recommended itinerary: the Marginal Road, which runs along the Tagus River to its estuary. Arrival in Estoril, Cascais. Not to be missed: Cape Roca. Then, the city of palaces (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site): Sintra. Check in at your hotel and overnight stay.

Day 4: World Heritage Sites

Recommended itinerary: Alcobaça (Cistercian Abbey) , Nazaré (fishing villages), Batalha (monastery) Fatima (shrine), Tomar (Convent of Christ) Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 5: Région Fatima / Coimbra / Aveiro / Mesquitela / Trancoso / Sernancelhe

Recommended itinerary: Coimbra (the university city) Aveiro: Aveiro: the lakeside city Route to Fornos de Algodres in the heart of the Beira Alta region (at the foot of the Serra da Estrela) Included: traditional lunch at a restaurant Celorico da Beira: numerous cheese dairies. Trancoso: the old town within the ramparts Sernancelhe. Overnight stay in a former convent converted into a charming hotel or in a quinta in the heart of the Serra

Day 6: Sernancelhe / Vallée Du Haut Douro / Région De Porto

Recommended itinerary: Lamego (Shrine), Peso da Régua (Douro vineyards), Mateus (Solar de Mateus with its French gardens). Porto. Overnight stay in the Porto region.

Day 7: Porto / Région Lisbon

Recommended itinerary: Porto (the old town and its monuments) Included: voucher for a mini-cruise on the Douro (approximately 1 hour) Aveiro: the lakeside city Obidos: medieval city Overnight stay in the Lisbon region.

Day 8: Lisbon

On the way to the airport.
